  1. Ima just say, I just got this part in the mail. And it looks almost exactly like my 3d printed one, but this is straight out of china :D

The original is the one on the right, the nicely machined one on the left is from here https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33049279530.html

It's thicker all around, where as the original is just cast and drilled. Still looks like machined cast aluminium tho, so probably not stronger. But its a very nice replacement.

  2. Thought I would post a little progress update.

I've completed the CAD drawing, and test fit seems alright. Looks like the distance between the 10mm and 11mm, center to center, is actually 51mm xD
Time to do toolpaths and cut a fast wood test, and figure out how to do accurate two sided machining on my tiny CNC, or simply outsource the job (EXPENSIVE AF)

I also fixed the play on the scooter itself.

Bearings I got were too long, so get these instead and a 12mm drill ? https://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/p120716/AL0812-12-Oil-Filled-Bronze-Flanged-Bush-8x12x12mm/product_info.html

I don't understand why you reproduce the part in aluminum before making it in steel ?

    ?

I'm already over the weight limit in my country ?
Extruded aluminium is stronger than cast aluminium, might end up adding proper replaceable brass bushings instead.
I can only barely cut aluminium on my small cnc, but if that part fits, I can order a bunch of steel or alu copies.

This might take some months to get done still.

Little bit of progress. I have the arm mostly copied, but its not there yet. Have some fitment problems. I may wait untill I get a recieve a replacement part i've ordered, and just slice the old one in half and put it in a flatbed scanner.

Recieved a block of 7075 Aluminium, €105 euro, and it fits about 4 attempts to get it right ?

Wow, fantastic ! Where you from ?

Can you make several pieces and sell them to us ?

I really hope so, atleast, that's the plan :D I'm from Denmark.

  6. I realise this is a french discussion, but it seems there's a problem with the bolt size for front and rear axle, leading to busted bushings.

They used an M10x150 12.9 , but the shoulder needs to be longer, so I'm replacing them with M10x180 12.9 + spacer. And then using an angle grinder to remove the excess thread.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/301718638145 You really only need two, but I purchased these.

And some new bushings https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32831294510.html SF-1F10120 so you want to select option 10120

Attached some images of the front fork.

This FAQ has been a nice resource, I hope someone can translate and add this to the top post. :)
