dualtron x2 Installing Rion Curve throttle on the Dualtron X2

I would like to install the Rion Curve wheel thumb throttle on the Dualtron X2. Can anyone here provide some feedback on the installation process, or the pros and cons of doing so. I've ordered the "acceleration only" version of the Rion Curve throttle and my understanding is that it has the standard 3 wires common on most thumb throttles. I'm familiar with the process of soldering the wiring to the hall sensor connectors in the mini motors display. I'm seeking some insight on rather this is a good idea.
