I thought there is a light mode, which will give the side lights a red color, and make them go on at the back of the machine? I remember to have seen a video, where this behaviour was explained? Sure, it are no “real” backlights...but the red Leds can be seen from the back? For the 403,2wh...this is just a different math technique... The Sanyo cell is announced with 3,6Volt nominal instead of for example LG with 3,7 Volt: Sanyo cell: 3,6 * 16cells * 3500mah = 201,6wh * 2 seriell = 403,2wh! Other cells: 3,7 * 16cells * 3500mah = 207,2wh * 2 seriell = 414wh! (828 complete) "Old" calc: 60Volt * 3500mah =210wh * 2seriell = 420wh! (840 complete) Whatever you do the math....all KS have the same amount :-)

Just an short announcement: On the english Forum, we are thinking about setting up a group buy on the KS18L, where i am also kind of evolved....there are a lot people interested!!! if you want to join...jump over to the thread on the english EUC forum...this thread will not be open that long...and later go to only conversation by PM! Not an really idea... Its just that zlymex mentioned that one screw must be secured by touching a motor cable! So it sounds like a short hapening! Whats mysterious is that zlymex is “not allowed” or “not willing” to talk about it...perhaps he is beta tester...otherwise his statement makes the things worse, as it looks like GW is trying to hide something....very stupid!

Why shouldnt i order a 18L also? My optimal wheel Count is having 3.....at the Moment unfortunatly i am without any backup to my 18S, as i have sold my diy 1200wh Msuper V3 67Volt (to weak and spongy after having a 18S, never used it again). So it is time to fill the Garage up again :-) KS is not so stupid and says that there wheels are totally waterproof...but i would say the 14d/s, 16s and so also 18L design are the best waterproof you can get. The Motherboard is totally isolated, it is soaked in protection gloss, the design of the Shell with "inside" and "outside" Shell is really proper. The 18S is another Story, as it has small air vents on top. This air vents ly under the handle bar AND there is a sponge under the Slots, if ever dust or a drop came through. I have driven my 18A and 18S under heavy rain, and even checked the board inside on the 18S, to see if the Slots left something in....nothing at all. Nonetheless i would not leave it alone under a heavy, heavy rain for longer. Also on my last maintenance after about 1000km i checked the board (capcitor, fuses, Connections etc etc) on the 18S ...no dust at all, i was quite happy with the maintenance results!

Sure...as soon as it is possible...pretty excited about a 2000Watt 84Volt Kingsong :-)

Where's your both Problem? :-) It is pretty easy: Voltage is the main factor where the board takes it's Settings from....sure! And because the 14D has less packages and so a higher voltdrop as the 14S when drawing power , it Needs a bit more conservative Setting in the Firmware on it's Speed reducement.

I did not :-) Plan was to bring it in airplane without battery....but 90% of international airlines just implemented a „no self balance vehicle“ on board...so even without the battery....they dont let me take it in luggage :-( I left it in Thailand, the KS Thailand guy then sold it as used....and send me the money...great guys over there! I only had a minus of 120euro....for 4 weeks fantastic KS16 driving on a tropical island. :-)

Btw... There is still one shop willing to do the 1020wh Version...It is just that this shop can send the wheels earliest in 10-14 days, as he dont have them in stock at the Moment....but he is not interested in factory policies.

Again, please excuse my writing in english..... I really hate the Price politics of KS and GW....and there pressure against the aliexpress sellers. Will they sell one wheel more with this politics? I would bet it will be rather less, as some people are just not able to pay these crazy european Prices. What all is forgotten in These discussions: When we order a Tesla for 1100 Euro, this allready covers expensive air Transport AND the Profit of the ali-Seller... The real wheel costs are about 1/3 of the Price the "exclusive" license holders here take, they are just trying to monopolize the market. An example? Last year 2016 in April/May i bought a brandnew KS16 (at the time just one month on market) when i was in Holiday in Thailand. Btw it has a Kingsong Branding and no KSwheel, just to Show there is no Price/Quality difference. While this wheel was sold in Europe at the time for about 1600Euro...i got it in BKK from a KS Thailand seller for unbelievable 720Euro! And again: In this Price included was allready taxes and Profit of the Thai Seller. When you ever experienced such unbelievable Price difference...i am personnaly not willing anymore to pay the ridiculos european Prices. These are just nuts! In the whole world you see better Prices than here Europe...and France is the absolut most expensive! When i then also here about the "Pressure" that is done ....this really make me angry... Somebody says to be absolut quiet in the future when there are alisellers still doing the jo...that is a very good idea :-) Sorry for the rant :-)

Sorry for writing in english, please... Have you tried with an E-Mail adress? I doubt that KS has implemented another Server (for SMS) just for IOS....perhaps just a Translation fault? You dont Need a "unlock code" anymore on the new app. On the new app you have Register with all your personal Information like Age, gender etc etc and say yes to Kingsong Terms ....and after that Registration you will have that Speed unlock just by that registering. Who do not wants his personal Dates at KS, just invent some nice ones :-)

Sorry for writing english: Yes, the new app works for the 18S. You will even get a prompt to upload a new Firmware Version for the 18S: Version 1.02 for 18S: The Log is saying: Getting rid of the "jitter" Problem... I guess this just means the Little vibrating when Standing still, but until now i did not do the update to 1.02. For others: As i understand, new Firmware Versions for all KS wheels will ONLY be available on the new app! Example: 18S->1.02, KS16B->1.26, 14d/s->1.05.... Unfortunatly that also means, that the link: http://apkdomain.duapp.com/kingsong/versions.json from now on is pretty much useless, as the new Versions are not included anymore....

Plus one on that... Yes, it is like a different wheel :-) So much more powerfull and more reactive than my old 18A...it is unbelievable. Best wheel i have ever owned and even best wheel i have ever driven, period :-) I have to say i dont have any "Speed reducement" Problems at all. For safety and battery longevity i go down with the Batterie to 25%, but not more. Form 35% Batterie on, i might get a tiltback if i do very, very hefty accelerations up and over 30kmh, because of the massive voltdrop that accours on hefty acceleration. But when i a drive and Speed up quite normal, even on 25%/30% Batterie i still can go 35kmh without tiltback....and faster i dont go at all (or only very seldom)... 1680wh Version, btw. And: Last Weekend i reached 1000km...now my app Speed adjustment is 0-0-45-50...(which means i will never again hear a Speed beep :-), as 40 is my comfortable max ) This adjustment can be done only on android at the Moment (old green or new beta app) On IOS the old green app is not able to go over 40kmh...and the new beta app is still in Review process of apple, afaik.

Search for "allit" trolley on ebay...about 22Euro You have to modify it a bit....cut it a bit shorter and cut on the plastic thing with the rolls, but it's not that hard to do...here on my old 18A: The first try- v5f style-, can not recommend that...not as stable...also Problems on carrying, as it sits on part of the grip:

Best and perfect solution. Had that on my old 18a also for more then 1,5 years...no problems at all, stable and nice. Before i had a v5f like solution, which was ugly as hell and unstable....

I also write some more about in post before- above....yes, it is a misconcept :-) But not that worse...

Yes, the 18inch Shell from KS is a Kind of misconcept for the 128cell Versions. The Shell is just a bit to small for the gigantic 820wh pack, so as difference to the 64cell Versions there is a small hole in the Shell, but it is covered by the sidepads perfectly! I can not measure it, but it is about 1,5 cm in height...running over from left to right. When glueing on the sidepads with 3m Tape...just use a tape over it...ready! The battery just sticks out about 0,3 cm on each side and is v´covered by the thickest part of the sidepad. i never worry about it. But yes!!! It is stupid :-) To say it before: The following numbers are only for 18S 1680wh! KS18AY has slighlty different fuse values...18A very different! The two board fuses on top are 2x30Amp...each of the 3 on the wires is 40 Amp! So there is a 60Amp board(and complete battery draw) safety-plenty-....and for each batterypack there is a 40Amp safety! Good on this composition is that each and everything is redundand! When one of your (REAL paralleled) batterypacks Fails...there are 2 left working. When one of the 2x30Amp Fuses Fails...the wheel goes on.

Last year May-just when it was brandnew released- i bought a KS16 680wh...a Export Version with "Kingsong" sidepads.... Brandnew for 800$....at that time this was 730Euro...from an offical KS Re-Seller in Bangkok Thailand(That also includes the sellers taxes and his profit's!!!), while the same wheel at this time could be bought/pre-ordered in Europe for about 1500Euro. (Just think a bit about what the factory sellling Price is when it could be sold for 800$) What i want to say with This story, is that there is no Price difference and no Quality difference between "Kingsong" Export and "KSwheel" China Version. All my GW and KS wheels where from ali-express and i had a lot opportunities to compare to the exported/bought in Europe Version. Believe me...there is None! There have been times, when the biggest Batterie Versions like 840 or 1680 only were available in europe/oversee...but even These you get know bought in China.... What differs a ali and a "real-deal" EUC is the Service and warranty...and who ever dealed with Mr. Yi Chen...knows there isn't much :-)
